FSX Blue Angels>Applications>Requirements

	.::REQUIREMENTS::. Hello and thank you for expressing interest in joining the FSX Blue Angels. We are a dedicated group of individuals that strive for excellence. Because of this pursuit of perfection, a lot of long hours have gone into briefing, practicing, and debriefing. The practices can be intense, the criticisms are blunt and the expectations are very high. However, seeing the results and realizing that you were a big part of its success is gratifying and rewarding. We are looking for well-rounded individuals who get along great with others, display a high level of professionalism, who demonstrate patience and proficiency, and who are team oriented. To sum it up, we are looking for the 8 “A”s: Attitude- Candidate must have: A positive mental mindset and the constant pursuit of perfection A team player and leadership frame of mind The ability to take criticism from others and work on errors Ability- Candidate must be able to: Fly the F/A-18 Hornet by the instruments (i.e. heading, airspeed, altitude, and Gs) Fly the F/A-18 Hornet in close formation Land aboard an aircraft carrier with full realism settings. Aptitude- Candidate must know: Basic aviation terms Basic knowledge of Blue Angels terms, maneuvers and history Basic cockpit orientation Adaptability- Candidates must be able to: Do things the team’s way vs. your way Be able to flex when and where needed (i.e. different positions, duties, etc) Age- Candidates must be: At least 18 years of age Availability- Candidates must be able to: Make team meetings Make weekly team practices Make monthly air shows Apparatus- Candidates must have: Microsoft Flight Simulator X w/ Acceleration Expansion Pack A computer capable of supporting at least 15-20 frames per second during team practices. A working microphone. A flight control system that includes a separated flight stick and throttle (i.e. Saitek X-52 or Cougar HOTAS) A twist stick or rudder pedals for rudder functionality A TrackIR head tracking system Acceptability- Candidates must be: Accepted by ALL current team members THESE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS FOR EVERY TEAM MEMBER REGARDLESS OF POSITION!!!
